Words, words, words. There's not much I don't know about them. Ever since I could hold a pen, I knew that writing was what I wanted to do, and I've hardly stopped since.
After acquiring a degree in Creative Writing - during which I studied fiction writing, journalism, screenwriting and poetry, as well as the business and ethics behind writing - I stumbled into a retail management role. This helped develop my abilities in resourcing, hitting targets, providing exemplary customer service, communication, time management and interviewing, but I was still writing on the side the whole time.
I began to blog, just to have somewhere to house my words and my passion for them. Eventually I wrote so much, I found I'd written a novel. Then I wrote another one. I'm now editing my third.
During the lockdown of 2020, I took my recently started pub quizzes online, and have now written and asked some three thousand questions. I even self-published my own quiz book, such is my love of learning and sharing information.
I've gained experience in journalistic fields, writing for The Spirits Business, The Violet Wave, and Frontier, in freelance capacities. I've even expanded my freelance services to edit and proofread for friends and colleagues. Not a day goes by without me reading and writing something. Anything.
I believe you can make any topic interesting and that it's a poor mind that finds something "boring". It's just a case of using the right words and tailoring them to the audience. Words are the closest humanity has ever come to wielding magic.
Let me cast you a spell.
